Support to the Ministry of Justice in the development of the new Anti-Corruption Strategy 2011-2013
UNDP supports the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to elaborate the new medium-term National Anti-Corruption Strategy by availing UNDP’s international experience in the field and its capacity as “neutral broker” in engaging all stakeholders in the policy development processes. This is a follow-up action of the last two anti-corruption strategies’ implementation assessment developed with UNDP assistance. Considering the in-house expertise on anti-corruption within the MoJ and other public institutions concerned, and attempting to encourage national ownership of the strategy elaboration process, the UNDP has limited its involvement to the facilitation of the „stakeholders engagement meetings” targeted to defining the priorities of the new AC strategy and to conducting a needs assessment exercise with a comparative analysis approach.
The general objective of the project is to enhance capacity of the Ministry of Justice to develop the new medium term National Anti-Corruption Strategy by availing UNDP’s international experience in the field and its capacity of “neutral broker” in engaging all stakeholders’ in the policy development processes.
